
Fran Forman
Fran Forman ’s image-paintings are in the long lasting collections of the Boston Museum of Good Arts, The Smithsonian Nationwide Air and House Museum (NASM, Washington, DC), the Museum of Good Arts, Houston, The Grace Museum, Abilene, The Sunnhordland Museum, Norway, the Conner Collection at The College of Texas, and the North Down Museum, Northern Eire.
Fran’s hottest reserve, The Relaxation In between Two Notes: Picked Do the job by Fran Forman, was printed by Unicorn in 2020 and has gained an Global Photo Award and been selected as a most effective photograph-e-book for 2020 by Elizabeth Avedon and What Will You Try to remember. Fran’s e book also was the sole element in the pictures magazine, Dek Unu, and it was showcased in The British Journal of Images, 1854 Media, L’Oeil de la Photographie, and many others.
Escape Artist: The Artwork of Fran Forman, was published by Schiffer Textbooks in 2014 and has also gained a number of prizes such as a Best Photo-Guide by Elizabeth Avedon.
Fran has mounted lots of solo exhibitions, which includes The Fox Talbot Museum, Lacock Abbey, England, The Massachusetts Point out Home (The Griffin Museum of Pictures), AfterImage Gallery (Dallas), the University of North Dakota, Galeria Photo/Graphica (Mexico), Sohn Wonderful Art, OpenShutter (Dorango), and the Pucker Gallery (Boston), as well as a lot of team exhibits. She has gained various awards and prizes and has been highlighted in other journals and publications.
Currently Fran is an Affiliated Scholar at the Women’s Reports Investigation Center at Brandeis University and teaches workshops nationally and abroad. She is also a recipient of grants from the Sassower, Tyre, Tavris, and Puffin Foundations. She has been a Resident Artist at Holsnoy Kloster, Norway, Millay Arts, The Studios of Essential West, and the Vermont Studio Center.
She is represented by Pucker Gallery (Boston), Afterimage Gallery (Dallas), Susan Spiritus Gallery (Newport Beach, CA), Sohn Good Artwork Gallery, and Galeria Photograph/Graphica (San Miguel de Allende, Mexico).
