McEvoy Arts’ fifth anniversary exhibition Shade Code celebrates coloration and its vibrant expressions in the arts. Fashionable and contemporary artworks from the McEvoy Household Selection be a part of four new commissions by Bay Area artists Sadie Barnette, Angela Hennessy, Clare Rojas, and Zio Ziegler to showcase how we deliver color into our lives.
Barnette’s set up is a tribute to relatives in rainbow hues celebrating relationship and legacy. Hennessy’s gilded wall performs evoke the advanced racial and colonialist histories embedded in the hues black and gold.
