Moosey London is delighted to announce our 1st solo exhibition by Spanish artist Imon Boy. The exhibition will start on Thursday 1st September, 6-8pm. Beverages on us!
Imon Boy is a Spanish artist from Malaga. He has been concerned in the earth of graffiti for decades and practiced a large amount of graffiti writing inside the streets of Malaga. His parts alternated from stylised lettering into painting and drawings of graffiti associated memes.
In a self-referential way, he delivers to the inventive plane every thing that he has fashioned as a man or woman all over his lifetime: graffiti, movie games, web, cinema, songs, travel, and so on. The essential to his generation is the union of all these aspects, the curiosity for drawing and the search for new varieties and settings. He alternates his avenue items with other studio projects in a parallel and enriching way, that collapses the boundaries amongst graffiti and great artwork.
“I’ve been portray for numerous years, so it’s all about evolution. Common graffiti is centered on letters. Anything changed when I started off incorporating other aspects outdoors of graffiti and tests my curiosity. All this has been more than a number of a long time and is a continuous system. Now, individuals things have defeat graffiti. The graffiti scene has generally been shut with common thoughts. I have never felt wholly at ease in the graffiti scene, and I’m even now not. Every thing has names, principles, and protocols.”
“I paint almost everything that will come into my daily life, almost everything I consume everyday or have eaten. My work is a pure experimentation. I attract a large amount, it is a little something that I suggest to absolutely everyone – drawing with out concern and building new designs. When I draw, I never consider to do a little something great, just strategies and play with the letters or eventualities.”
In addition to tagging walls during Spain, Imon Boy has exhibited in a lot of spots such as Munich, Seville, Hamburg, Sydney, Taiwan, Madrid, Los Angeles and New York City.
