Budding artists sell artwork at showcase event

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Attractive tunes shines a mild on creative impressions by some of Savannah’s youngest.

All summertime Urban Hope campers marveled at the possibility to express their creativeness with a blank canvas and some paint. Friday at the Whitefield Heart their progress was showcased.

Savannah artist and gallery operator Sonja Robinson made available the free of charge classes in her Budding Artists application.  

Household users, and friends fell in enjoy with paintings that allow you see the world by the eyes of minor types. WSAV’s Tina Tyus-Shaw was amazed and the youthful artists explained to her they are proud of their masterpieces.

“I sold a great deal of artwork which is tremendous,” mentioned Nirve Miller, one particular of the Budding Artists. “ And I experienced so a great deal enjoyable at this method. It was awesome.”

“I offered a rooster picture, a photograph with a lot of shapes on it, and we also have the bridge in Georgia on the wall, but mine hasn’t sold but but a good deal of them have offered,” said Christina Bell, an additional Budding Artist.

These younger Van Gogh’s and Picasso’s marketed more than 100 parts of artwork. Learners acquired 50% of the proceeds and the remainder will help non-profit Urban Hope’s budding artists application next calendar year.
